1. Overview
In compliance with Meta platform policies and data protection regulations (such as GDPR), we provide comprehensive user data deletion features. You can request deletion of your personal data and associated social media connections at any time.
2. Data We Store
When you use Marleo and connect social media accounts, we store:
- Account information: Email, display name (via Firebase authentication)
- Social media authorization: Access Tokens for Facebook Pages, Instagram Business, Threads
- Post content: Scheduled posts, drafts, and published content you create
- Usage records: Login times, API usage logs
- Subscription information: Payment records (via Stripe)
3. How to Delete Your Data
Method 1: Through Website Account Settings (Recommended)
- Log in to your account
- Go to 'Account Settings' or 'Profile' page
- Find the 'Delete Account' or 'Delete My Data' button
- Confirm the deletion
- All your data will be completely deleted within 30 days
Method 2: Via Email Request
If you cannot log in to your account or need assistance, please send an email to:

Please include:
- The email address you used to register
- Any information that can verify your identity
- The type of data you want deleted (all or partial)
We will respond to your request within 48 hours and complete data deletion within 30 days.
Method 3: Through Facebook/Meta
If you connected via Facebook authorization, you can also:
- Go to Facebook Settings → Apps and Websites
- Find 'Marleo' or 'smrintelligent'
- Click 'Remove'
- Select 'Delete your activity information'
This will revoke our access to your Facebook/Instagram data and trigger our data deletion process.
4. What Happens After Deletion
When you request data deletion:
- Immediate revocation: All social media Access Tokens immediately become invalid
- Account deactivation: Your account will be deactivated and you cannot log in
- Data deletion: All data permanently deleted from our database within 30 days
- Backup clearing: Cleared from all backup systems within 60 days
- Subscription termination: Any active subscriptions will be canceled (non-refundable)
- Irreversible: Deleted data cannot be recovered
5. Retained Data
Due to legal requirements, the following data may be retained longer:
- Payment records: Retained for 7 years per tax regulations (transaction records only, no personal data)
- Legal disputes: If there are ongoing legal proceedings, relevant data will be retained until the proceedings conclude
- Security logs: Anonymized security logs may be retained to prevent abuse
6. Third-Party Platforms
Please note that deleting your data from Marleo does not delete:
- Content published to Facebook, Instagram, Threads (must be deleted separately on each platform)
- Events stored in Google Calendar (must be deleted in Google Calendar)
- Payment records retained by Stripe (must contact Stripe support)
These platforms have their own data retention policies.
7. Partial Data Deletion
If you only want to delete partial data, you can:
- Remove social media connections: Go to 'Social Account Connections' page and click 'Remove'
- Delete posts: Go to 'Post Management' and delete individual posts or drafts
- Cancel subscription: Go to 'Subscription Management' and cancel your subscription

9. Policy Updates
We may update this policy from time to time. For significant changes, we will notify you via email or website announcement. Continued use of this Service indicates your acceptance of the updated policy.
